Slamstr.com announced its official transition into Beta on July 20th, 2010. Our site, whose theme centers around dispatching anonymous insults, has been available as a prototype web app since mid April and has been steadily gaining momentum since its inception.

Slamstr.com users have profiles where visitors can type in an anonymous insult or "Slam" to the profile owner. The Slam then gets sent to the profile owner's inbox where they can choose to reply (Slamback) or delete the message. Messages that profile owners respond to get posted on their profile for the world to see and laugh at.

"It all started as an experiment," said the site's 19 year old co-founder. "The internet has always been an outlet for people's emotions - including aggression. Our idea was to put a positive spin on this by giving people the opportunity to sign up for a chance to be insulted and they are loving it!"
